Mount Family - Robbie deployed

Greg and I took the Mount's family photos in June right before Robbie was deployed. Emily hired us to shoot their formal portraits, as well as him being deployed. It was definitely one of the most emotional experiences I've had. Greg and I both witnessed the love and fear that was felt throughout the hanger. Everyone had tears in their eyes. Not a dry eye. I happened to glance to my left and I saw a young soldier holding a newborn not even 2 weeks old. He cradled the infant in his arms and wept as he kissed the baby's head. I looked to my left and a young girl cried for her mommy not to go. Another young soldier was kissing his pregnant wife's belly and crying. What an incredibly emotional emotional experience. When I see someone cry, I cry. So trying to look through my camera and look at everyone crying was really hard to concentrate. There were so many times when I had to wipe my eyes because I couldn't see through the camera.

Anyway, my prayers are with the Mount Family. I can't wait to photograph the return of Robbie to his family.
